Symptoms of Melanoma
Glasgow and ABCD systems can help in identifying the early symptoms of melanoma even in performing the self-examination. Regular self-exam are highly important as much as being undergone to series of lab test and series of scanning for extensive cases. Self-exam may be done as follows:
- An abnormal-looking birthmarks, moles or blemishes
- A change in size, shape, or color
- An infection or sore that does not heal
- Check all areas of skin
- Examine the toenails and fingernails and its in betweens
- Be familiar with how your birthmark and moles and how they looked
- Aside from routinary self-exam, it is best also to visit a dermatologist for skin exam.
